Out my window I see
The season playing with me
Calling me a fool
“You think it to be Spring time?”
Mocks the north wind, “Give them hail!”
Out my window I see
The season playing with me
Calling me a fool
“You think it to be Spring time?”
Mocks the north wind, “Give them hail!”
Such rhythms today!
Clouded skies crying to clear,
Blue so breathtaking,
Even The Sun was in awe!
Flush as a cherry in bloom.
Deceptive sunlight,
Filters between vibrant green,
Neon in color!
But a breeze will cool the skin
Beware Winter’s last caress.
What was singular,
Explodes into one thousand,
Pastel pink petals,
Like a silent fireworks show
Celebrating Lady Spring.
Two petals dancing
Swept up by cool Spring breeze
Such a sweet embrace
With a harsh reality
And ephemeral delight
Winter’s gate closes
In its wake Spring comes again
A cycle renewed
Sprouts tracking above the blue
That which gives us radiance
Colorful objects
Hidden among the new growth
Renewed by water
Heated by The Spring sunshine
What a time to be alive!
Grey clouds gathering
Where the sky meets the ocean
At the Western gate
I see the oncoming storm
Welcoming the Winds of Spring
Beyond these glass panes,
Lives a world, ever-moving,
Wonderful and wild!
And yet, the raindrops stop me,
From leaving these four bare walls.
Biting winter wind,
Rolling through the alleyway,
Making spring the fool,
Or so it would seem to me,
And my tissue paper coat.
