“I had a good day!”

Dare I tempt Lady Luck’s gaze?

And promote today,

From mere ‘goodness’ into something-

More grand? Perhaps even great?

A new injection,

Each day keeps me from sickness.

Small bandages are forming,

Constellations along the-

Equator of my body.

Thursday was harder.

Like a freight train, it hit me-

This was expected.

And I got through it okay,

Tomorrow will be better

Day two I waited,

Listened to the alleys’ song,

And observed the sun,

Four walls, a ceiling, and floor,

Yearning for that open door.

The start of something,

Brand new for me, but perhaps

Not so new to you,

But know it gives me comfort,

To have you on this journey.
